With the recent announcement that PPG was continuing its commitment to Team Penske throughout 2019, the long-standing relationship has pasted another major milestone. Indeed, it’s the 35th year of working together, making it one of the longest partnerships in all of motorsport. It all began way back in 1984 with PPG’s sponsorship of the PPG Cup from 1979 to 1999 in the CART Series in which Team Penske competed. PPG began providing paint for Team Penske cars and the relationship grew. Today, PPG is the largest supplier of refinish coatings for Penske Corporation’s racing, truck leasing and automotive collision repair subsidiaries. The robust partnership demonstrates the long-term commitment these companies have to each other and their ongoing success.

As well as being an ongoing partner to DJR Team Penske on the local racing scene, PPG will serve as a primary Team Penske sponsor for multiple races throughout the 2019 season, in the NASCAR Cup Series, the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the IndyCar Series.
